Algerian security forces continue to crack down on terrorists
El Khabar daily reported Sunday, (April 29th) that security services in El Oued arrested eight people last week and closed down a cybercafe and library suspected of being used to recruit young people to fight in Iraq or join Algerian terrorist networks. Allegedly, the cell was responsible for recruiting three university students who went missing last week. Information from the students' families assisted investigators in discovering and dismantling the cell. The suspects, aged between 24 and 28, include an English language university teacher who owned the cybercafe.
