Tunisia's oil company ETAP awarded a three-and-a-half year hydrocarbon exploration permit to British company Supex Ltd. on Saturday (February 24th). The new exploration will take place in El Fahs, covering 3,116 square kilometres in the three northwestern provinces of Beja, Siliana and Zaghouan.
According to the contract, Supex will invest $3.5m to drill a new well. The agreement is part of Tunisia's effort to attract more foreign investment in the energy sector. (TAP)
