African ICT ministers meet in Tunis
The Africa Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Investment Conference opened on Thursday (October 26th) in Tunis. The forum is organised by Tunisia's Ministry of Telecommunications.
In his opening speech, Tunisian Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi urged African countries to further promote ICT for better socio-economic development. He called for setting up an African strategy to push the international community to increase efforts and develop investments in the IT sector in line with the 2005 Tunis World Summit on the Information Society recommendations.
