Belkhadem announces new Algerian government
A presidential decree issued on Thursday (25 May) named the government of newly-appointed Algerian Prime Minister Abdelaziz Belkhadem. Foreign Minister Mohamed Bedjaoui, Justice Minister Tayeb Belaiz, Finance Minister Mourad Medelci, Energy and Mining Minister Chakib Khelil, Water Resources Minister Abdelmalek Sellal, Participation and Co-ordination of Reforms Minister Hamid Temmar, Trade Minister El Hachemi Djaaboub, Education Minister Boubekeur Benbouzid, Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Said Barkat, and Public Works Minister Amar Ghoul all maintained their jobs. Ahmed Noui was appointed the government's secretary general. (APS)
