Algerian company Cevital announces plans to invest in petrochemical industry
Private food processing group Cevital announced plans to invest in petrochemical industry and oil products refining on Sunday (5 February). According to CEO Isaad Rebrab, the group intends to become listed on the London Stock Exchange. The company has already finalised several petrochemical projects, such as a methanol production factory with a capacity of 1.7 million tonnes per year, of which 80 per cent is intended for export. Other projects include a gas-to-liquids production plant and a plastic manufacturing unit for packaging. (APS, El Moudjahid, L'Expression)
