Moroccan Film "Ali Zaoua" Screened in Buenos Aires

  • 18

The film "Ali Zaoua" by Moroccan director Nabil Ayouch will be screened on 30 July in Buenos Aires at "The Cinema of the South: 13 Films From the Global Village," scheduled 25 July - 3 August. The film is the second feature by Ayouch after his thriller "Mektoub" (1998), one of the most popular Moroccan films in recent history. Ali Zaoua is the name of the film's central figure, a 12-year-old boy living in the streets of Casablanca who dreams of escaping the misery of street life.

The festival is organized by the Theatrical Complex of Buenos Aires, the French embassy and the Foundation Argentinean Cineclub. It also includes films from Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Kampuchea, Lebanon, Mexico, Senegal, Tadjikistan, and Tunisia (E-Marrakech)

Look brothers, this is a terrific film. My favourite film is Ali Zaoua. I thank these cartoon directors for this film. There are some movies in which directors are just messing up I prefer they would go to graze sheep.

Haha! The title alone is indicative of substandard production. Such mediocre movie directors are just giving us worthless junk. It this what you call development projects for this country? What an achievement!! You are a perfect example of one who spits into the wind. For me, only a few directors deserve viewers' praise, the rest should retire because they can only earn my despise!

I saw this film, but the level of dialog is low as it includes expletive words.
