A conference on the "Role of Criticism in Promotion of Arab Culture," organized by the Tunisian Academy of Sciences, Literature and Art, will be held from 14-17 March with the participation of several university professors, critics and researchers from Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.

The main themes of the event will be the fundamental values of criticism in the Arab world, the interaction between criticism and art, the analysis and functions of criticism and the current state of short stories and poetry in Tunisia and Saudi Arabia. The conference will also allow for socio-cultural exchanges between the two countries and literary criticism of Tunisian works from the first half of the 20th century. (albawaba.com)
