By Naoufel Cherkaoui for Magharebia in Rabat -- 14/04/09
Jeunesse Sportive El Massira (JSM) surprised fans Saturday (April 11th) when they crushed hosts Difaa El Jadida (DHJ) 3-1 in a match during round 25 of the Moroccan Football Premier League.
The two teams wasted many scoring opportunities with a relative supremacy for the hosts.
DHJ's attacker Reda Ryahi failed to score from the spot in the 66th minute. Meanwhile, JSM’s Mohamed Alaoui scored the first goal for his team in the 71st minute, and his teammate Saadi tapped another goal just three minutes later.
After several attempts to salvage the score, Reda Ryahi scored the hosts’ only goal in the 75th minute. Then Bourezzouk tapped JSM's third goal at the end of the match.
Meanwhile, Raja Casablanca maintained their lead of the table after defeating their hosts MAS Fès 1-0 in their match Saturday.
Both teams put their best in the first half, but it ended with no goals. Three minutes into the second half, RCA's Mohamed Armoumen scored the match’s only goal.
After that, MAS Fès' Kader Fal also scored a goal, but the referee cancelled it, saying that the latter fouled Raja’s defender Mohammed Oulhaj.
On Sunday, FAR Rabat and KACM Marrakech Menara drew 1-1.
FAR started their pressure early in the game, but KACM responded by scoring a goal, courtesy of Brazilian player Louis Gerverson. Meanwhile, Mohamed Madihi scored the equalizer in the 79th after a great effort.
On the same day, KAC Kénitra were defeated at home 1-2 by HUSA Agadir.
KAC Kénitra’s Nouredine Boubou was red carded after making a foul, and his coach Abdelkader Youmir was also dismissed after he strongly protested against the referee’s decision in the 37th minute. These events negatively affected KAC Kénitra’s performance, which played well in HUSA's favour.
HUSA scored the first goal by Yassine El Bissati in the 47th minute. Abdelali Essamlali scored the second one in the 64th minute following a surprise counter attack.
A few minutes before the end of the game, KAC Kénitra’s pressure led to scoring their only goal in the match, by Rachid Berouas, from a direct free kick.
Also, Sunday, Moghreb Tétouan defeated their hosts OCK Khouribga 2-1.
MCO Oujda played against IZK Khemisset.
Overall, both teams' performance was less than impressive, but the match ended 1-0 to MCO.
Attacker Jajal Eddine Bachir scored the goal in the 46th minute after IZK goalkeeper failed to control the ball.
Meanwhile, Le Sporting Club Chabab de Mohammedia (SCCM) and OC Safi drew 0-0.
The match between Wydad Casablanca and AS Salé was postponed to a later date.
