2009-06-09
Marseille midfielder Karim Ziani told Le Buteur that he is confident about Algeria's World Cup prospects after the huge 3-1 win over Egypt on Sunday, Goal.com reported on Tuesday (June 9th). Ziani, who assisted with the third goal for the Greens, said his side were "more determined " than the Pharaohs.
Algeria coach Rabah Saadane also hailed his players' second-half performance. "We achieved a historic win against the holders of the African Cup. We honoured Algerian football. Everyone saw the strength of our team against a talented adversary," Saadane said, adding that it is now time for everyone to "put their feet back on the ground and think about the match against Zambia,"
