2009-06-03
FIFA imposed a stiff penalty on former El Masri coach Hossam Hassan for his actions after losing to Algeria's JSM Bejaia last December in the UNAF Winners Cup semi-finals, El Moudjahid reported on Wednesday (June 3rd). Hassan will be suspended for 5 years for reportedly spitting at the referee, breaking equipment and inciting the crowd. The Disciplinary Committee of the North African Football Union and the Egyptian Football Association already sanctioned Hassan with suspensions and fines for the Bejaia misbehaviour.
