BP to begin Libya drilling operations

British Petroleum (BP) on Thursday (October 29th) announced plans to launch exploratory drilling operations in Libya in 2010, Reuters reported."By the end of this year we will have the first of several prospects in the pipeline for drilling starting next year," BP's "Exploration Libya" project chief Hugh McDowell said at the 4th North Africa Oil and Gas Summit in Tunis. The October 27th-29th event gathered energy industry stakeholders to discuss business development, new technologies and infrastructure investments in North Africa.
