Arab states consider joint counter-terror police unit

Security experts and media representatives from Algeria, Morocco, Libya and Tunisia joined representatives of other Arab states at a Cairo conference on terrorism and the internet, MAP reported on Monday (October 19th). Conference recommendations issued at the event's conclusion included the creation of an Arab police unit, "Arabepol", modelled on Europol, to enhance counter-terrorism co-operation.
