Mauritania police scour Nouakchott diplomatic quarter for terror suspect

Counterterrorism police in Mauritania's capital city are looking for an unnamed suspect "intending to commit a terrorist attack", Journal Tahalil reported on Sunday (October 4th). Security services are reportedly conducting identity verification operations in Nouakchott, particularly in the residential areas that are home to the largest number of Western diplomats. No further information has been released.
