Libya reports "Black Death" outbreak

Libyan health officials asked the World Health Organisation to investigate some 18 cases of bubonic plague in the town of Tubruq, 125km from the Egyptian border, Reuters reported on Tuesday (June 16th). This is reportedly Libya's first reported outbreak of the "Black Death" in decades. The WHO mission is expected to arrive in the Mediterranean coastal town on Wednesday.
