Algeria to boost security for Pan-African Festival

Some 22,000 Algerian policemen will be deployed to thwart any terrorist attack during the 2nd Pan-African Festival next month in Algiers, Boumerdes, Blida, Tipaza and other locations across the country, Echorouk reported on Tuesday (June 16th). Some 8,000 artists from 48 countries are slated to participate in the event, which comes 40 years after Algeria hosted the first festival.
