Libya's Triki elected UN General Assembly president

The UN General Assembly on Wednesday (June 10th) elected Libyan AU Affairs Minister as the body's next president. Triki will replace current president Miguel D'Escoto Brockmann of Nicaragua at the General Assembly's 64th session on September 15th. Addressing the assembly, Triki said his priority would be "UN reform, in all its various aspects, especially reforming the Security Council and revitalization of the General Assembly".
