Sonatrach awards gas plant upgrade deal to Swiss ABB

Sonatrach awarded ABB a $233m contract for three gas plants in Algeria, the Swiss technology group announced on Tuesday (June 9th). "The project includes new compressor trains, re-instrumentation of existing gas treatment plants and an integrated control system for both the new and existing facilities," ABB said, adding that the upgrades will boost the flow rate in gas pipelines.
