Mauritania opposition parties stage protest at state TV facility

Mauritania opposition National Front for Defence of Democracy (FNDD) marked World Press Freedom Day on Sunday (May 3rd) with a demonstration outside state television headquarters, Journal Tahalil reported. The protestors denounced what they claimed was the use of state media as a propaganda tool by the ruling junta. There is currently no private television channel in the country.
