Algerian NGO to investigate media coverage of presidential race
2009-04-03
The Algerian League for the Defense of Human Rights (LADDH) plans to analyse how the Algerian presidential election campaigns are being treated by the Algerian press, El Watan reported on Friday (April 3rd). With help from Arab and European media professionals, the group will "dissect the contents of newspapers, television and radio during the election campaign" to determine whether objectivity has been maintained, a member of LADDH was quoted as saying.
