2009-03-01
A Mauritanian delegation from the anti-coup National Front for the Defence of Democracy (FNDD) will be in Tripoli on Sunday (March 1st) for talks with Libyan leader and African Union President Muammar Kadhafi, PANA reported. The trip is part of Kadhafi's mediation efforts between Mauritanian political forces. Kadhafi and deposed president Sidi Mohamed Ould Cheikh Abdellahi are also expected to meet, most likely when the AU president celebrates Mouloud in Mauritania, ANI reported on Saturday (February 28th). A Libyan emissary is expected in Nouakchott on March 7th to arrange the visit.
