Bouteflika submits application for presidential run

President Abdelaziz Bouteflika officially filed paperwork Monday (February 23rd) for his presidential run, local press reported. The campaign for the April 9th presidential election will begin on March 19th, with 11 candidates running. Abdelkader Slimani, rector of the new University of Bechar, was officially nominated to lead Bouteflika's campaign.
