Algeria sets date for presidential polls
2009-02-08
On Saturday (February 7th), Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika signed a decree setting the date for the presidential elections as April 9th, local and international press reported. Although largely expected to run for a third term, Bouteflika has not yet officially announced his candidacy. A communiqué of the Presidency said that the former Minister of Justice, Mohamed Tekia, was nominated as chair of the Elections Control Committee. A campaign on the need to register on the electoral rolls and to vote was also launched by the government on Sunday.

The job of Minister of Justice in Algeria is very interesting. This is quite an easy job. His point must be to reward his good friends who want a well-paid retirement. They are lucky. Long live oil!

I wonder if the Algerian “republic” will not become a kingdom little by little!? With regards to Bouteflika, this is the case: reign until death and lead the throne to the vice president!!! Everything has been prepared just like in a kingdom, the only difference is that all of this is being done in the shadows. Why aren’t the people the ones to directly vote changes to the constitution??? If one of the parliamentarians were to say “No”, then, as we know, we would find his corpse tomorrow in his car and they would blame his death on “Islamist terrorists” as usual. The Algerians are very intelligent and they know that the real terrorists are wearing the official kepis.

To Bihri- We can see quite clearly that the Makhzen brainwashed you to denigrate Algeria. Afterward, they will tell us that Algeria is targeting Morocco. Mind your King’s business, before you go making assumptions that only concern Algerians.

Bouteflika should resign from rule because he doesn't have the strength. The other person who will rule Algeria should not have any relations with Israel.
