FNA leader qualifies for Algeria presidential run

Algerian opposition National Front (FNA) party leader Moussa Touati has collected the number of signatures required to run in the April presidential elections, local and international press reported on Sunday (January 25th). Touati said he surpassed the minimum of 600 signatures from elected officials or 75,000 signatures from voters in at least 25 of Algeria's 48 departments. APS quoted him as saying that the party "is now ready to run in the next presidential contest".
