Egypt's Asec to build $600m cement plant in Algeria

Egyptian cement manufacturer Asec plans to finish construction on a $600m cement plant in the Djefla province of Algeria within three years, local press reported Tuesday (September 23rd). The plant will have an annual output of 3 million tonnes annually, with the largest chunk of the factory's production channelled towards the local market to meet surging demand.
