Morocco will remove the death penalty from its statute books by the end of April, becoming the first Arab state to have abolished the capital punishment, Morocco's Consultative Committee on Human Rights Secretary-General Driss Benzekri told AKI on Thursday (February 1st) in Paris, on the sidelines of the 3rd World Congress against the Death Penalty. "The law has already been amended and capital punishment abolished for a number of crimes," Benzekri said. "The plan now is to revise Morocco's constitution to remove the death penalty," he added. There is a hidden aim behind abolishing the death penalty in Morocco. Or you are not Muslims. In Islam it exists. Abolishing the death sentence in Arabic countries in particular means encouraging criminals to commit more crimes than they did and for which they weren’t accountable including killing, robbery, kidnapping, falsification, intimidation, terrorizing, plotting and many, many other crimes. I think that those who oppose the death sentence have some goals and aims. Death sentence is for the killer. He should be killed. The hand of the robber is cut. Eye for eye, tooth for tooth and the initiator is more unjust. If you want to go contrary to religion, you are not Muslim. Or how do you explain this?
